After a week off, the Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the Apex this weekend, as a couple of top fighters look to stay close to a future title shot in this week’s edition of Fight Night.

The main event is a Middleweight bout that will see Roman Dolidze take on Nassourdine Imavov.

Imavov is looking for his first win in over a year. His last fight at UFC 289 saw his battle with Chris Curtis ended in a no-contest after the two clashed heads, leaving Curtis unable to continue. Imavov’s bout before that saw him lose by unanimous decision to Sean Strickland in his Light Heavyweight debut.

The Russian-born fighter is 12-4 -1 in his career, with nine wins coming by knockout or submission.

Dolidze, the No. 8 fighter in the division, is also looking to pick up his first win in a long time. The Georgian fighter was last victorious in December 2022, when he defeated Jack Hermansson by TKO. It was the last of a four-fight win streak, where Dolidze earned Performance of the Night honors in three consecutive bouts. His last fight at UFC 286 saw him fall to Marvin Vettori by decision.

Dolidze is 12-2 in his career, with seven wins coming via knockout.

Dolidze had his four-fight win streak stopped by former title challenger Marvin Vettori in his last outing, and “Russian Sniper” will also try to get back into the win column after a disappointing 2023 where he lost to Sean Strickland before his fight with Chris Curtis ended in a No Contest.

The co-main event between Renato Moicano and Drew Dober is a pivotal bout for the UFC lightweight division.

Both men are ranked in the lightweight Top 15, and the matchup has serious Fight of the Night potential after they each rebounded from losses with first-round finishes in their most recent bouts.

The rest of the main card also includes an all-Brazilian battle between top-ranked flyweights Viviane Araujo and Natália Silva, as well as a welterweight bout between longtime UFC veterans Randy Brown and Muslim Salikhov.

Roman Dolidze will fight Nassourdine Imavov for the middleweight class. Drew Dober will take on Renato Moicano for lightweight. Natalia Silva will take on Viviane Araujo for women's flyweight. Muslim Salikhov will fight Randy Brown for Welterwight class. Makhmud Muradov will take on Aliaskhab Khizriev for middleweight catergory, Charles Radtke will fight Gilbert Urbina for the class of Welterweight.

Meanwhile, UFC superstars Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler were revealed as coaches for the revival of "The Ultimate Fighter" last year, with the anticipation that they would eventually face each other in a fight. However, as of now, there is still no resolution in sight for this matchup.

Conor McGregor initially asserted that the fight between him and Michael Chandler would occur during UFC International Fight Week in June, a statement contradicted by White later on. Despite engaging in media banter, Michael Chandler has refrained from placing blame on McGregor for the prolonged delay in the matchup.

Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov have their sights set on the middleweight elite. The skilled fighters reside in the bottom half of UFC's official rankings for 185 pounds. Dolidze and Imavov headline UFC Fight Night at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday with hopes of lining up a major fight.

Dolidze (12-2) is a late bloomer. The Georgian athlete started training in mixed martial arts at age 28 after playing professional soccer and competing in grappling tournaments. He was signed to UFC two years later with only six MMA fights to his name. Dolidze's fast rise is remarkable and he won't let a recent loss to former middleweight title challenger Marvin Vettori deter him.

Imavov (12-4, 1 NC) is on an admittedly bothersome run. Winless in the last 17 months, Imavov was outclassed by short-notice replacement Sean Strickland and drew a no-contest against Chris Curtis. Recent developments have helped remedy the French fighter's frustrations. Imavov looked sharp against Curtis early and he was rewarded with a Top 10 opponent in Dolidze despite the inconclusive finish. His recent loss has also aged well considering Strickland's surge to UFC middleweight champion.

There isn't much meat on the bones of UFC Fight Night. Saturday's card lacks stakes and even dedicated fans might not recognize the first four fighters on the main card. The most appetizing servings are the action-packed co-main event of Renato Moicano vs. Drew Dober and Natalia Silva looking to extend her winning streak to 11 against Viviane Araujo.
